Teaser Tuesday/Music Tuesday

I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone.  Yes, I'll make  my regular post soon for tonight, but I don't usually have time to do either of these because I am so busy.  I am suffering from a touch of a cold, so I have been home from work.  So here are  the two reader MEMEs for tonight.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This is my current read.  My teaser:

p. 149
"Roch looked up when he heard the noise outside."
"He expected the wait to be short."

Now those seem really short as far as teasers go, but I followed the rules.  I am truly enjoying this book.

Now, the song I have chosen does go with the spirit of the book and it even matches the time  period--I just looked it up.  "Do You Hear the People Sing?" from Les Miserables is from  the same general time period as this book--post-Revolutionary France.  I have never had the privilege of watching the musical live, but I have seen it on video.

I will post the video below this.  And the lyrics are on the video itself.
