Random Dozen Week of Labor Day

Guess what!!  I did it right this week!!  Here goes!

1. Describe the best sandwich in the world, according to you.

Reuben Sandwich on rye bread with Thousand Island on the side.

2. Which inspires you more: a good conversation, a song, a book or movie?

Hard to answer,  but I would say a good song.  I am very musically inclined--seeing how I am a music teacher.  Even if I watch a good movie that inspires me,  the music  had better match!

3. What is your favorite board game?

Board game--Probably Life.  It takes no skill or  brain power!

4. As you grow older, are you more or less patient with small children?

Less Patient!  Why else have I decided I can't sub in lower elementary any more--especially kindergarten!!

5. Name one item you never let yourself run out of.

Contact solution.  My glasses are a couple prescriptions old, and I can't stand wearing them.  I must have it!!

6. Do you agree with Tennyson's assertion, "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all?"

Yes.  I am experiencing this now.  Even if the man I love never returns it in the way I want, I will have at least loved!!

7. Name one national treasure or monument that you have visited.

Mount Rushmore. Several times!  Breathtaking every time.

8. Which is more painful, to be disappointed in someone else or to be disappointed in yourself?

I am much harder on myself than anyone else.  I can deal with being disappointed in other, but when I don't live up to my expectations, it is really tough.

9. What makes your kitchen uniquely yours?

I'm the one who makes the big mess while cooking dinner that my mom cleans up later.

10. Are you a crafty person?

Yes, but  not like I used to be.  I just don't have the time! But I don't usually come up with my own ideas.  I have to follow a pattern or guide.

11. What is your favorite traditional picnic or bbq (cookout) food?

I absolutely love good BBQ ribs.  As long as they are not too fatty.

12. Name one leisurely activity you enjoyed over Labor Day Weekend.

Blog hopping and catching  up on e-mails.  We also shopped thrift stores.

  3. To me it would be easier to teach the younger kids. Teen-agers are too hormonal and disrespectful.
I didn't even think of contact lense solution, have to have it and I did run out once.
