My First Blog/Giveaway Promotion

Okay, I'm really stepping out on a limb. I have never promoted anything like this on my blog, but then I haven't been blogging long, have I?

I was going through my normal google friend request sites this morning, and I stumbled on a giveaway that looked pretty interesting. It is from the blog Footprints in the Butter. I read a lot of homeschooling blogs even though I am a teacher, and I don't homeschool. I find that homeschool blogs have the best stuff to offer, and I always enjoy learning about new resources.

Debra is hosting a giveaway at her blog about a fantastic product called Download N Go. You can go here to learn about the company. And on their facebook page, they are offering a special deal that sounded interesting. I thought about it, but I thought, "I'll just enter the giveaway and see what happens.

Well, Debra was pretty sweet, and she sent me an e-mail encouraging me to take advantage of the special deal. She had noticed I said I thought the Davy Crockett unit might be interesting, and she reminded me of the deal. I decided that I would see if I could use my paypal balance, and I could.

I downloaded it, and I couldn't be happier! I have never seen such fantastic stuff. It is a history, science, art, spelling, geography, and math unit based on a central theme. It is also told from a Christian perspective, and there are all sorts of family ideas to extend the learning. This is the first one I have ever downloaded, but I love what I see. I plan to take my daughter through it next week. And according to their facebook page, a lot of people are taking advantage of the deal.

Once I go through it with my daughter, I'll try to get back on here and give you and update. But for less than 7 dollars, I don't think you could go wrong.

  1. I'm glad you are excited about it after purchasing it!!! I thought the Davy Crockett study was pretty amazing. It's one of only a few I own so far.

The Expedition China one that I bought last night (50% off through, ummm, tomorrow) looks fantastic too. I think we'll be doing it in September as we gear up to start the year. Just to plug another one, LOL!

And I am following you as soon as I post this :)
